The YCA council is dedicated to service and has taken on a variety of small and large projects in 2021 to continue to create a Heaven on Earth.
We are hosting shared Zoom spaces, cleaning up local roadways, organizing potlucks and events, caring for neighbors, launching a new website with a classifieds section, and hoping to build a small lending library.
Our bigger vision is to buy land, create a park with a pavilion, and with time build a community center.
We are also partnering with Habitat For Humanity of Piedmont to address the need for affordable housing in our area.
Ways for everyone to contribute and share together!
- Help write grants
- Be part of developing a park / pavilion / community center
- Join the Habitat For Humanity Buckingham Committee
- Join a YCA Committee (Outreach, Housing, Culture, Finance, Marketing, Preparedness)
- Host or help setup, cleanup, and support events like potlucks (yum!)
- Make wellness calls & visits
- Admin or support YCA social media
- Help build a lending library
- Provide transportation assistance to neighbors (appointments, groceries, prescription pickups, moving, etc.)
